Improving nutrition requires strong partnerships among non- private and private sector stakeholders.
SBN Myanmar has engaged and explored potential area of collabortion with a number of organisations as follow to support the implementation of SBN and partner's activites and initiatives in near future. Those partners include:
UN World Food Programme is global co-convenor for the SBN Business Network global and a host agency for the SBN Myanmar.
SBN Myanmar has worked closely with GAIN on their initiatives aiming to improve workforce nutrition since 2020.
SBN Myanmar has been coordinating with MGMA to identify pathways to improve nutrition, access to healthy eating practices with nutritious food supply among workers in the country’s garment industry.
UNICEF is working with SBN Myanmar to explore the potential for collaboration between the organizations to further the network’s efforts for nutrition in the workplace.
This partnership has been developed with a particular focus on peri-urban development implementation. LIFT is one of the SBN Myanmar funding support agencies.
The network’s partnership with PATH (LIFT’s peri-urban implementing partner) also centres around increasing demand creation and consumer awareness on healthy food and fortified rice in the peri-urban region, as does the collaboration with Bopinc.
Under the peri -urban development programme, SBN Myanmar has been engaged with Save the Children’s LEARN team for private sector nutrition awareness and social behaviour change communication.
FOSTA Myanmar and SBN has engaged and explored potential collaboration to provide technical assistance to business for improving food safety in country’s supply chains.
SBN Myanmar has engaged with MAN for farmer support and implementation of capacity strengthening programme among SMEs in the agro-food sector, as well as developing market access/ linkages for locally produced food.
